Hi! I’m Emily, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and the founder of Empowered Nutrition.

I am passionate about promoting quality nutrition and comprehensive health to support physical and mental well-being. In a world saturated with quick fixes, I stand firmly against diet culture, which overcomplicates the foods we choose to eat leading to frustration, disappointment, and an unhealthy relationship with food. I’m here to help you not get caught up in every trend and find what works for YOU while feeling your best.

Emily grew up on Long Island, New York and attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in communications. She later went on to attend New York University’s nutrition graduate program, where she received her Master of Science in clinical nutrition. Emily honed her expertise through invaluable training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where she provided comprehensive medical nutrition therapy to a diverse group of patients.

With a fervent dedication to improving individuals’ health and well-being, Emily has cultivated a distinguished career specializing in personalized nutrition strategies. Her virtual private practice, Empowered Nutrition, serves clients in New York and Florida, focusing on health promotion, chronic disease management and prevention, emotional and disordered eating, and weight management without restriction. By combining evidence-based science with mindful eating, she empowers individuals with resources to improve their health by addressing the root problem, not just the symptoms.

As an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Emily remains at the forefront of the latest advancements in the nutrition field, ensuring her expertise is grounded in evidence-based practices. When she is not meeting with clients, Emily enjoys testing new recipes, listening to wellness podcast, taking Pilates classes, reading, and going to the beach.
